Infection control is an essential part of Health and Safety management. Due to the importance of this subject in dental practice a separate topic, Health and Safety – Infection Control, has been developed for the Practice Support Manual. This topic covers the precautions which should be taken to protect patients, members of the dental team and other contractors from the risk of infection during dental treatment, and includes guidance on creating a practice Infection Control policy.
